General Description

Hostal Chic and Basic Colours is a new concept in Spain, applying cromotherapy (colourtherapy) in all the rooms to make your stay more relaxing.

Chromotherapy is an alternative therapy that uses the energy of colors contained in a ray of light to balance our mind, soul and body. Every color has its own impact in different emotional areas of our soul and the power to improve our senses. According to experts cromotherapy has specific healing powers.


Hostal Chic and Basic Colours has 10 rooms, each designed in a different color. There’s the, red, orange, yellow, brown, pink and black & white, which are extra doubles. The blue, violet and purple rooms are double and the remaining green is a single room.

Located next to the Puerta del Sol, the hostal is in the heart of the lively cultural and entertainment centre, situated in one of the most typical and cheerful streets in town. Places to visit, such as Calderón, Español and Figaro theaters, the Prado museum, Queen Sofía Art Gallery and Thyssen museum, tourist areas like Las Cortes Palace, Royal Palace, Great Square, Gran Vía or Chueca, are all within walking distance of the hostal.

The hostal is very well situated for public transport, with Sol, Antón Martín and Tirso de Molina underground stations nearby, as well as a 24hour public car park. It also has a meeting point where you can have your self-service breakfast, use the Internet and read the daily press. All services are included at no extra charge.

The hostal has 10 rooms: single, double and extra double all rooms are air-conditioned; fitted with digital television screens, safe box, music, Internet and with en suite bathrooms.


Please note that the rates include local taxes and breakfast. As the hostal is in the centre of Madrid it can occasionally be noisy.
